The Interview Overview
When thinking about your interview, consider the WHOLE picture. Interviewing isn't only about meeting people and answering questions, there is some preparation involved.
Look at a visual representation of the process.
The job interview is a way for an employer to see if a job candidate possesses the needed competencies to do the job. Really, how you portray yourself in the interview, what you say, how you say it, is all very important.
Job skills, sure you need those, but confidence, capability, compatibility, and the ability to communicate are just as important.

Apply for the position - Carefully prepare your job application.
Research to gain keen insights - Interviewers love it when you know something about their organization. Review plenty of interview questions and answers too.
Job documents are your introduction - Write accurate and effective resumes and introduction letters.
Dress to win - There are certain mistakes that you should avoid.
The Interview - You've gone through all of this to do well in the interview.
Follow up after the interview - this step shows class and may be a last chance for those that don't do well.
