Interview Answers Preparing for the interview

Nothing develops confidence like being prepared for your interviews.

Interview Technique #1

Imagine that's you on the left (in the picture above), faced with three interviewers across the table. 

--You arrived on time - that's good;

--You've greeted each interviewer with a smile - good;

--You're dressed appropriately - good;

--You're sitting erect with relaxed hands, all good.

Arriving, ready to interview, on time with a friendly and relaxed smile on your face, is a great technique  to set a positive tone right from the beginning of the interview. From the moment you make contact with the employer, set a warm and positive tone. 

Interview Technique #2

Walk in to your next interview prepared and ready to do a great interview.

 --Research the organization's policies, points of contact (names and addresses), job descriptions, and culture;

--Study questions that are relevant to the job you're seeking;

--Practice good communication skills.

Interview Technique #3

The interview itself is only a part of the process. After the interview, you have a great opportunity to continue your march toward success.

--Follow up with thank you notes or emails;

--Make notes from your interview, what went well, what needs improvement?
