Challenging Interviews
Simply put, there are typical job interviews and ones that will challenge everyone involved; the applicant and the hiring authority (interviewers). You'll find information here on interviewing by phone, teenage applicants, and applicants with criminal records. A great success for me would be to help people with special challenges feel confident, capable, compatible, and able to communicate.
The Phone Interview
During a phone interview, the applicant is at a
distinct disadvantage. I've interviewed in this
manner twice, which was two times too many.
Unavoidable, I was forced into the interviews without
preparation or without knowing what to expect and ultimately did
poorly.

Teens Looking for Work
Teens that have graduated high school will have a certain
advantage over the teen working during the summer or after
school. Teens have to know what to expect from the
employer and be realistic about the job search. The 4 C's;
confidence, capability, compatibility, and communication will
make this process so much easier.

Fired From Previous Job
Being fired carries a certain stigmatism that can affect a
person negatively. WELL DON'T LET IT! Any past negative
experience, such as jail time, lapses in employment, or being
fired can be turned to a positive and rewarding event, but
you've got to sell it.
